There was a season where we quietly stepped away from studio sessions. Not because we didn't love them, but because HomeSesh was growing so quickly outdoors. We were spending our weekends chasing golden light at beaches, parks, and favourite family spots across Auckland.
And honestly, we still love that.
There is something special about little ones running barefoot through the sand, cuddles on a picnic blanket, or families exploring together in a place that means something to them.
But as winter approached this year, we found ourselves missing the flexibility and creativity that a studio space offers.

Why We Decided to Reopen
One thing we've learned after photographing hundreds of families is that there is no single session style that suits everyone.
Some families love the outdoors.
Others prefer a warmer, more controlled environment where they don't need to worry about weather forecasts, muddy shoes, strong winds, or cold little fingers.
For many Auckland families, especially during winter, a studio can simply make life easier.
When we started hearing more parents ask:
"Do you still offer studio sessions?"
We knew it was time to bring it back.
